Easter Mani - Nubar Black Polka Dots over Catrice Sold Out Forever

Hello everyone,

For this little post I'd like to share with you a mani I've tried yesterday, which I find very cute and very appropriate for the Easter! I don't know why this makes me think of a an egg shell (dinosaur egg?? - yeah SciFi dino ;D LOL). I confess I didn't have the courage to wear it at work ... ;)

So this is 1 coat of Nubar Black Polka Dots (which need no more introduction!) over 2 coats Catrice Sold Out Forever (swatched here) and a coat of Seche Vite in between.
The bottle I'm holding is Nubar Black Polka Dots. It's amazing how dark it looks in the bottle and yet on the nail the base is completely transparent!

Thank you everyone for watching!

Hugs!!!

Catrice Mermaiden

Hello everyone,

Today I'm going to show you another Catrice from my swap with Stephanie form So Nailed. This is a superb purple/green duo-chrome, in a gorgeous silver base.
The formula is absolutely great. It applies like butter and needs two coats for full opacity. The only thing I dislike is the brush strokes which are a little too visible for my taste. But, in all, this is a great polish!
In the following I'll show the polish in different lights, so you'll get the impression it's not the same polish! But it is!
Here I'm wearing 2 coats of Catrice Mermaiden, no top coat:
In the shade

And in the sun. Yup, it's the same polish ;D

Still the same LOL ;D

Yet again, in the sun, still the same ;D

Here you can see both colours on the nails:

And then I thought I'd like to see how Catrice Mermaiden compares to OPI Not Like the Movies (from the Katy Perry collection)! So I put 3 coats of OPI Not Like the Movies on my middle and on my pinkie, keppeing the 2 coats of Catrice Mermaiden on my index and ring.

As you can see, the colours are mainely the same, only Not Like the Movies has some silver shimmer in it, while Iron Mermaiden has not.
Also, Not Like the Movies applies really well and builds up very well too, and you don't get any brush strokes marks at all.

I'm not sure which one I prefer... Iron Mermaiden needs only 2 coats for full opacity and teh formula is a dream to work with, but has got brush stroke marks and no shimmer ...

Which one do you prefer???

Thank you so much for watching!

See ya soon!

Catrice - Sold Out Forever

Hello everyone,

Today is the 14th of July, French National Day (Bastille Day)! This is why I'm home and able to do a post! ;)
No, I'm not going to do a blue-white-red mani, because I don't have the time nor the nail condition (2 broken nails on my left hand, so back to short for a while :)).

These pictures were taken a week or so ago, as this week was very, very full and busy, so busy that I had to wear naked nails for several days in a row! :(

So here is Catrice Sold Out Forever, another lovely polish I've got from my swap with Stéphanie! It's a cute, cute light jade-green cream with a lot of micro emerald shimmer inside. Doesn't really show in the shade, but in the sun it's amazing! It is so delicate and the finish is so smooth!
The application is excellent, opaque in 2 coats, not streaky at all! Great formula for this one too! Love love love! :)

Thank for watching everyone!

Catrice - Dirty Berry

Hello everyone,

So this is the first nail polish I'll be showing you from my swap with Stéphanie from So Nailed! And I gotta say that this is a dream come true!!! This was one of my greatest lemmings, and here it is: on my nails! :)
I think that the pictures will never be able to show its true beauty... it is just gorgeous!
This is my first Catrice ever, and I'm totally charmed by this little brand made in Luxembourg!

The formula for this one is excellent and the brush is great. Needed however 3 coats to get that dizzy-ing depth that makes it so special.
It is not a holo, but it's got this absolutely amazing silver micro glitter inside, which gives it this depth that I'm talking about, and which is impossible to catch in an image...

Here are the pictures. I'm wearing 3 coats of Catrice Dirty Berry, no top coat.
I hope you'll enjoy this at least half as much I'm enjoying it!

Amazing, isn't it? ...*sigh*

Thank you Stéphanie, and thank you all for watching!

See ya soon!
