Zoya Breezi vs OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui

Hello everyone,

Busy week... So I'm not going to write very much tonight.
On the previous post about Zoya Breezi I was telling you I was going to do a comparison between the 2, because I thought they looked very very similar..
I'm wearing 2 coats of each and no top coat.
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves:

And here they are on the nails!
Can you guess which one is which??

 No?

Still not??

OK, me neither :D
These babes are perfect dupes!
I'm wearing Zoya Breezi on my middle and on my pinkie, and OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui on my index and on my ring. No that this would mean anything! :) They are so alike that it doesn't matter anymore! :D

In conclusion... if you already own Suzi Says Feng Shui... maybe it won't n be such a good idea to buy Zoya Breezi too...

Hugs everyone!

See ya!

Zoya Breezi + mani

 Hello everyone!

Hope your weekend was ok, we had 2 days wonderful weather here in Toulouse! We've had very beautiful weather here, but  we also have the perspective of a terrible drought if it won't rain soon...

For this Sunday I have for you the 1st of the 7 nail polishes I've bought from the Zoya 2011 summer collection: Zoya Breezi.

This polish is actually part of the Summertime half of the collection, which contains only creams.
So Breezi, is a wonderful dusty blue cream, with perfect application and great wear. It looks very very similar to OPI's Suzi Says Feng Shui... very very similar... I'll do a direct comparison in a next post. I really love this blue...

Here I'm wearing 2 coats of Zoya Breezi and 1 coat of NailTek Quicken:

Then, I've decided to see how it'd look like with a coat of OPI Last Friday Night ( this is 2 coats in fact ;) ):

This was taken in the sun.
And this one too.
And as I was in the mood for trying out stuff... I've added one coat of the Silver Shatter over all:

And the most spectacular effect was obtained after I've added one coat of top coat (NailTek) on top! The mani looks a little bit like ancient unpolished silver jewelry! I've never expected that!

I wish a very good  week to everyone!

See ya!
Hugs! ;)

OPI - Teenage Dream

Hello everyone,

I'll have to start today with some terrible news (for me and all the non-American residents OPI lovers):
My number one OPI supplier TransDesign (TD) has stopped selling OPI!!!! Since today! I'm crushed!!! I mean they were the only ones selling OPI at a normal affordable price, shipping internationally  and the most serious of the nail polish vendors. Never had problems with the commands, all I've got was was what I've expected. I know that there have been problems between them and OPI, but... for me they were number one. Hope they will make peace with OPI and they will start re-selling this brand.
(Edit:  it seems that TD will cease activity, and the business is transferred to another site, called nailsupplies.us. We'll see...)

So Teenage Dream (from the Katy Perry Collection 2011) was amongst the polishes I've received with my last TD command.. (I'm gonna cry here..).
It's one of the most beautiful polishes OPI has ever done! It's simply amazing! At fist I wasn't so excited about this collection, especially after all the pre-command messy stuff all the nail polish vendors (oh, them again, and I'm not talking about TD here!) did and that they couldn't honor.
But it worthed waiting.
This beauty is a gorgeous mixture of  pink glass flecks and holographic glitter in a sheer pink base! Amazingness! I was so thrilled with it I wore it at the office! (ok, it's a little bit too festive to go to work wearing it, but... oh well ;), it's too beautiful and I hadn't have any meeting that day! :D) ).
Dries out super fast and what an effect!
Of course, it's sheer, so you'll need at least 2 coats. Here I'm wearing 3 coats of Teenage Dream and 1 coat of NailTek Quicken.

This was taken in the sun.

And, after work hours I thought why not try the new white crackle I've got with the same command ? I'm talking about Burst Crackle #8 Blizzard:

Don't they look like sugar coated candy?? ;)

See ya soon!

Big hugs for you!!! Thank you for reading my nonsense.

Maybelline MNY 469

Hello everyone!

The other day I was doing my regular shopping in Auchan... and found out that they sold this new Maybelline polishes called MNY, at 4.0 euros a bottle. I thought  #469 looked very, very cute and decided to give it a try.

So here it is! Nice perfectly cylindrical bottle - which actually is not that great in terms of brush manipulation.

The brush itself is soft. Very soft. I'm used to stiffer brushes, which oppose a certain resistance when "painting" the nail. Well, this one is so soft that you can easily crush it against the nail, almost without any effort. But I've rapidly got used to it, and the formula is pretty good, so this made everything easier. In the end it layered very smoothly.

The colour is beautiful! It's a deep vampy brown with duochomed green/puple shimmer in it! So gorgeous! It comes alive in the sun... I'm always a fool for these "lit from within" kind of polishes ;).

Here I'm wearing 2 coats of MNY #469 and 1 coat of NailTek Quicken:

Has any of you heard of this new Maybelline release yet? Or maybe it's not new at all and I'm completely living on Mars? Do you have it in the USA? I know, it says Maybelline NewYork, but it's.. made in France ;D LOL

Ok, I've gotta to go now, got a volley-ball match in one hour!! :O

See ya soon!
Hugs!!!

OPI - Honk If You Love OPI - Touring America

Hello everyone!

This is the last of the 5 polishes from the Touring America collection I have for now.
This is Honk If You love OPI. I don't know really which part or city of America is this polish dedicated to... but it's a very beautiful aubergine shade, with a very nice shiny finish. Just beautiful.
Here I'm wearing 2 coats of Honk If You Love OPI, but I'd recommend wearing 3, as bald spots can be seen here and there... The formula is nice, but is a little on the thin side. Drying time is normal for a cream.

Here are the pics!

This one was taken in the sun... sorry for the bald spots...
Thought I could add a something extra to it... so, here it is with the famous Silver Shatter from OPI on top!
I like the light coloured shatters, looks like I've got crackled dinosaur eggs instead of nails LOL! :D

On the 5 polishes I've swatched, my favorite is French Quarter For Your Thoughts followed closely by My Address Is Hollywood.

The rest of the collection also contains  the following polishes:
  • Suzi Takes The Wheel (!) - another gray, darker than French Quarter For Your Thoughts
  • I Break For Manicures - a dark purple
  • Uh-oh Roll Down The Window - olive green cream
  • Get In The Expresso Lane -  dark brown cream
  • Road House Blues - dark blue cream
  • Colour To Dinner For - wine red shimmer
  • Are We There Yet? - orange shimmer
These can be seen on my friend Ruxi's blog, Une Ruxi à Paris.
And here I'd like to dedicate a few lines to thank her so much for having sent these to me!! This was such a nice thing of her, not many people would do it. We've known each other since high school, and we've been supporting each-other a lot over these past months in this polish-mania.. ;) Thank you for everything! Love you girl!!!! ;)

Now, I gotta go to work!!! ;)

See ya!
Hugs!!!!
