Orly - Pure Porcelain

Hello everyone,

Today is such a gloomy day here in Toulouse... well, we can't complain because we've had 2 perfectly beautiful months without any rain... as result: drought. So, if it's gloomy, it should also rain. I hope.

Today I'll be showing you Orly' Pure porcelain. I know, I know, it's been swtached and re-swatched. I really like it, I like the finish and everything. I've got it because I saw it on other blogs and I really liked it. I've actually bought 2 polishes from the Precious Collection 2011: Pure Porcelain and Royal Velvet (true love polish!).
Pure Porcelain is a very nice nude cream polish, white based, with a touch of pink and another one of beige. Looks a bit like Essie Topless and Barefoot, but in a little lighter.
The polish is beautiful, the finish is porcelain like and you get it opaque in 2 coats. The application is however a little tricky. It is very streaky, so you need to manage your brush carefully. In the end the brush strokes get even by themselves, wish is lucky, because I couldn't do a good job with it!  Ok, not  a fan of this one's formula... But the result is quite ok, I'd say.

Here are the pictures. Here I'm wearing 2 coats of Orly Pure Porcelain, no top coat (remarkable shiny finish!):

With my jasmine

And with a coat of Sinful Colors California on the index and ring, for a touch of spark ;) :

And you know what? :) Yesterday I've ordered my first Konad tools (stamp + 4 discs) :D I'll probably have them on Saturday (not sure).  I'm so happy! ;)  :D :D

Big hugs for you! Have nice day!
See ya! ;)

Sinful Colors - Tahiti Breeze

Hello everyone,

This will be a quick post, because I'm back home for my lunchbreak, and I don't have the time to write too much...
So this is Sinful Colors  - Tahiti Breeze.  A very cute and delicate polish! It's a very light pink base reflecting gold (has a huge quantity of micro gold shimmer inside). The gold shimmer makes the colour to look peach, and not pink. Very nice effect. The finish is pearly and smooth.
It is very sheer, probably you'll get it opaque after 6 coats or so... ! Maybe! ;) It applies very well, and layers very well, so you won't be having problems with building it up. So this one is a really work appropriate polish, or a nice layering polish if you want to give a golden shine to a darker polish.
I'm not very into "work appropriate" polishes, but I like this one very much!

Here I'm wearing 4 coats of Tahiti Breeze (still have VNL!) and 1 coat of NailTek Quicken top coat:

With my blooming light pink hydrangea
And with copper crackle (La Rosa number 16 Satin Smooth), which dries out matte:

And with the top coat in order to add it a little shine :

OK, hope you enjoyed that. Thank you for watching.
See ya soon!
Hugs everybody!!!

LA Girl - Love Notes

Hello everybody,

This is my 3rd L.A. Girl polish, and the second from the Nude Collection.
It'a cute baby pink, a cream with some shimmer inside it.
As her sister L.A. Girl - Antique, this one too has applied well, and took 2 coats for full opacity. Overall I'm very happy with this! I fully wore this at work and was ok.

Here are the pictures:

And some fail tips glitter panting with Sinful Colors California:

See you soon!
Thank you for watching!

Zoya Mitzi - From The Matte Velvet Collection 2011

Hello everyone!

We've had a very beautiful weather here in Toulouse, and I really felt like wearing a crazy colour! And Zoya Mitzi (which I've just received a few days ago) was exactly what I was looking for!
The sunny day, the blue sky, the daring summerish colour of the Zoya Mitzi  made me feel like we were in the summer, and I was about to spend a lazy day on the beach...

About the polish:
Beautiful colour, very nice colour and finish, but a very difficult application... Needs 3 coats to even out the streaks. Dries quite rapidly, and of course, if you want to keep the matte finish (which is actually the point here..), you don't need to apply a top coat.
But, I think this polish really stands out, and, in my opinion, it worth the pain with the application.
Here are the pics:
In the sun:

In the shade:

I'm curious however to see how it looks with a glossy top coat (NailTek Quicken):

And a little comparison between Sinful Colors Innocent and Zoya Mitzi.

Here I've got Sinful Colors Innocent on my index and on my ring:

There is a just a little bit more green in the Zoya than in the Sinful, but, I'd say they're almost dupes ;)
Luck that Zotya normally it's a matte.
Anyhow, they're both adorable strong colours!

Thank you for reading!

Sinful Colors Thimbleberry

Hi everybody,

Back with yet abnother SInful Colors!
My friend Ruxi, says that I'm kinda OPI obsessed - not too far from being true, as most of my nail polishes are OPIs - but I haven't posted any yet. I'll surely will... no worries about that! ;)

So, about, Thimbleberry from Sinful Colors... In fact, I've bought this thinking it was a totally different colour!
Look what they are showing on the site from which I've bought it:

And look what I've got:

Don't get me wrong, I love the colour they've sent me, I truly do, beacuse I'm totally into coral shades lately ;)? I'm just confused about the website... Maybe they should be warned that the picture they're showing doesn't correspond to the real thing? I don't know...
Anyway, again, as for all of the Sinful Colors I've tried, this one too has an excellent formula, applies like butter and dries quickly. And the colour is so charming and joyful. I loved wearing this!
Here are some more pictures (2 coats of Thimbleberry and 1 coat of Seche Vite):

And, just for fun, two pictures of my rabbit, Ghitzou, the best rabbit in the whole world:

Sinful Colors Merlot

Hello everybody,

Today I'm going to make you part of one my addictions... ahhh... passions, I mean! It's all about nail polish...:)

Sinful Colors is one of my  favourite polish brands. I already own a few bottles and each time it was a very very pleasant surprise.
Like its sisters, this one applied perfectly. The formula is great, easy to work with, not too thick, not too thin.
Merlot, like the name speaks of itself, it's a beautiful wine red, with a lots of shimmer in it that really comes alive in the sunshine!
Here I wear 2 coats of Sinful Colors Merlot and 1 coat of Seche Vite:

So? Merlot anyone? ;)
