China Glaze - Electric Pineapple

Hello everyone,

Hope you've had a great weekend!

I guess I'm a little bit late with my swatches, people are already swatching fall collections and me, I'm not even close :) But, hey, we're still in July, I don't want to think of the fall yet! (even though we've got here a weather "de merde". One can easily think we're in October... pfff :) )
So, in order to get some positive thoughts and remember we're in the summer... I'll swatch for you today Electric Pineapple from China Glaze Inslad Escape collection (summer 2011). These pictures were taken a week ago, while we still had some sun and blue sky... *sigh*...

So, Electric Pineapple is a gorgeous yellowish green, very summery, very joyful. But,  I haven't found anything electric about this polish, is just bright.I think it look a lot like last year OPI's Fiercely Fiona. I don't have that one to do a comparison. I hope someone will do it, beacuse I'm really curious to see how these two would look side by side.
The application was pretty OK, the formula is good, but a little thick for my personal taste. 2 thick coats are enough for full opacity.
Here I'm wearing 2 coats of China Glaze Electric Pineapple + 1 coat of Seche Vite:

Here I went a little fancy, and got into that "picasso mood" :) ... I only wanted to try out the scotch tapes technique and my dotting tool. ;) Not the best I could do, but anyhoozle, this is how it came out :

Oh yes, I used Sinful Colors-  Innocent, Zoya - Apple and Color Club - The Lime Starts Here.

And before going to bed, for the fun, my sleeping bunny (oh, no, not "sleeping beauty" ) ;)

Snorrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :D
LOL! ;)
Good night everyone!

  1. I love how this looks on your nails, very pretty and perfect for summer :) Awwww your bunny is so cute :)

    Love Christine ♥

  2. I just bought this beautiful polish and can't wait to wear it. It looks great on you. Your bunny is adorable :)

  3. @Christine Iversen: thank you so much, Christine!

@hermetic: Thank you! I think you did very good buying it, I'm sure you won't be disappointed! ;)

  4. Love the way you incorporated the dots in this design (: I'm definitely buying this Electric Pineapple color for sure .

  5. Thank you, Toyomi! You're a sweetheart, as always! Hugs!!
    <3 <3 <3

  6. Loving that color on you. I don't really like to wear yellow which is probably why I've only worn CH Lemon Fizz once lol and aaaaawwwww a bunny <3

  7. What a pretty polish!!! I love the detail you added. The pinky and the ring finger are my favorites! Your bunny is sooo cute! Thanks for sharing that.

  8. @jasmin: Thank you Jasmin! Well, this is not completely yellow, it green-ish yellow ;) But I'm not a fan of yellow polishes myself. In my collection I only have 2 yellow creams (Orly - Lemonade and Deborah - Yellow Fiz which are.. dupes! LOL :D)

@imfeelingnail-venturous: Thank you so much, sweetie! The pinkie and the ring are my favourite too ;D As for Ghitzou, my bunny.. I really love him and I love posting pictures of him. He's adorable, really.

  9. Cute! I think I remember someone saying that Electric Pineapple is between Who the Shrek Are You? and Fiercely Fiona. And Ghitzou looks as sweet as ever. :)

  10. Hi Liz! Yes, I guess you're right! I've been planning to get those two for quite a moment now... but there were always new collections to grab first :) Thank you so much! Big hugs!!!
